I have a favorite passage from “The Secret Life of Plants” by Peter Tompkins and Christopher Bird, regarding William A. Tiller, chief of the Materials Science Department at Stanford University:

“Tiller speculated that the radiation or energy coming out of a leaf or a human fingertip actually might be coming from whatever is present prior to the formation of solid matter.  ‘This,’ says Tiller, ‘may be another level of substance, producing a hologram, a coherent energy pattern of a leaf which is a force-field for organizing matter to build itself into this kind of physical network.'”

Cut part of the physical form away and the complete energy network still exists!
